PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively fulfil a body pressure distribution function even when a heavy load and a small load are mixed and to distribute meticulous body pressure with respect to a whole body as a mattress used for a bed. SOLUTION: A plurality of recessed grooves 4 are carved in a longitudinal direction and a width direction on an upper surface material 2 of the mattress 1, cross-sectional shape of the recessed grooves 4 are teardrop shapes, and three kinds of areas differing in hardness (A area, B area, and C area) are provided by changing intervals between the recessed grooves 4 formed perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. Then, meticulous body pressure distribution is performed by dividing areas into seven steps, B area, A area, B area, C area, B area, A area, and B area, along the longitudinal direction. Cross-shaped shallow grooves 7 crossing in the longitudinal direction and the width direction are formed on a top surface of a projection part partitioned by the recessed grooves 4.
