In a liquid crystal display panel and a method of manufacturing the display panel, an array substrate includes a plurality of pixels that each having a switching device, a first pixel electrode, a coupling electrode, and a second pixel electrode. The switching device outputs a data voltage in response to a gate signal, and the first pixel electrode and the coupling electrode are connected to an output electrode of the switching device to receive the data voltage. The second pixel electrode faces the coupling electrode and receives a voltage lower than the data voltage. The resistance between the second pixel electrode and the coupling electrode is less than the resistance between the second pixel electrode and the common electrode.
