<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display apparatus for preventing light sensitive fluctuation by adjusting the luminance of back-light in a certain scene (image) which may result in light sensitive fluctuation without conducting any process onto the image signal. <P>SOLUTION: The image display apparatus is provided with a detecting means for detecting light sensitive fluctuation information by previously adding the light sensitive fluctuation information on a scene (image) inducing light sensitive fluctuation to the television broadcast signal and DVD/VTR software image signals, a display control means for outputting a dimming control signal on the basis of the detection signal detected by the detecting means, and a dimming means for dimming the back-light based on the dimming control signal supplied from the display control means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
