<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technique for easily recording information on a phase change type optical recording medium under an optimum recording condition. <P>SOLUTION: This recorder for recording information by emitting laser beams subjected to intensity modulation by a pulse train type recording strategy to a phase change type optical recording medium comprises: a recording strategy changing means for changing pulse width of a top pulse and pulse width of a cleaning pulse of a pulse train constituting the recording strategy, a recording means for recording information by the recording strategy changed by the recording strategy changing means, a playback signal quality determining means for determining the quality of a playback signal of information recorded by the recording means, and a pulse width determining means for determining the pulse width of the top pulse and the pulse width of the cleaning pulse on the basis of information of the playback signal quality determining means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
