PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a message transmitted from a device to be controlled, to a control device with substantial contents.

SOLUTION: When an event occurs, a message notifying the fact is transmitted from a digital video recorder (DVR) 4 and supplied to a service server 2-1 via a direct access platform (DAP) server 3. At the service server 2-1, the message transmitted from the DAP server 3 is edited by adding different information in accordance with contents of the message. The information to be added is acquired by performing an Internet search by the service server 2-1. The edited message is transmitted from the service server 201 to a mobile phone 1-1 and displayed on the mobile phone 1-1. The present invention may be applicable to a server apparatus capable of communicating with both a control device and a device to be controlled.
