<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work management system which can manage time for each work, and especially can extract dead time, regarding the work divided into a plurality of work processes. <P>SOLUTION: The work management system is provided with: a management server (database server) which collects information on time related to the work and has a processing unit and a storage unit; a work management terminal B31 which is installed in a work space and transmits, to the management server, information of a work specifying IC tag 81 with information for specifying predetermined work descriptions written therein and an initial setup specifying IC tag 111 with information related to the work descriptions written therein; and a work management terminal B32 which is installed in the work space and by which a worker in the work space transmits, to the management server, at least information on the work specifying IC tag 81 during working.
