<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device and image projection display device capable of obtaining stable illumination light with a large light volume and effectively making use of the light emitted from a light source as illumination light. <P>SOLUTION: The device includes a plurality of light sources 2 arranged in an arc shape and emitting the illumination light toward an axial line L of an arc, and a light guide means 3 having a concave incident end 31 facing to the plurality of light sources 2 and having a focus at the axis line L and an emitting end 33 for emitting the illumination light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
