ENLARGING OBSERVATION DEVICE, METHOD AND PROGRAM FOR PHOTOGRAPHING ENLARGED IMAGE, AND COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the expansion of a dynamic range or the improvement of resolution automatically according to an observation purpose.

SOLUTION: An enlarging observation device has: an imaging section 10 for capturing an original image having a prescribed dynamic range; a composite image generation means 85 for compositing a plurality of original images captured under different imaging conditions at the same observation position of a sample to generate gradation composited image data higher than the gradation width of the original image; a display section 52 for displaying an image captured by the imaging section 10; and a mode selection means 82 capable of selecting one of a dynamic range expansion photographing mode for creating a composite image having a dynamic range wider than the original image and a resolution improvement photographing mode having improved luminance resolution as compared with the original image in a dynamic range narrower than that of the original image as a composite image photographing mode for acquiring a composited image from a plurality of original images captured by the image pickup section 10.
