<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance heat-resistance of a carcass cord and to enhance run flat durability. <P>SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire is provided with a carcass 6 and a tread reinforcement cord layer 7. The carcass 6 comprises a carcass ply 6A in which the carcass cord 20 arranged at an angle of 45-90°relative to a tire circumferential direction is covered by a topping rubber.
