<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict the residual operation life of a touch panel so that further safe and reliable operation control of various devices using the touch panel or a system using the devices can be performed based on the prediction. <P>SOLUTION: The system includes a touch panel life prediction program which executes a task for computing [(Nl/Np)-1]×Tw, wherein Np is the operation frequency of the touch panel, Tw is the operation time of a device, and Nl is the operation life frequency of the touch panel, and a task for taking the computed value as a touch panel residual operation life Tr and giving an alarm before lapse of the time Tr.
