PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric compressor capable of preventing the windings from being damaged due to foreign matter in refrigerant without increasing the number of parts. SOLUTION: A third interphase insulating sheet 34 is interposed between the coil-end 251U of U-phase windings and the coil-end 251V of V-phase windings on the rear side of a stator 13 so as to circle around a rotor 11. A fourth interphase insulating sheet 35 is provided between the coil-end 251V of V-phase windings and the coil-end 251W of W-phase windings on the rear side of a stator 13 so as to circle around a rotor 11. The flow direction R of refrigerant intersects with the outside portion of a coil-end 251V among V-phase windings extending from slots on the rear side of a stator 13.
