PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for electrostatic charge image development, where high gloss high definition like photographic sharpness is obtained over a long period of time and wherein it results in good ultra-low temperature fixability, developability, and cleaning suitability; its manufacturing method; a developer for electrostatic charge image development; an image forming method; and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The toner for electrostatic charge image development comprises: base toner particles containing at least crystalline polyester resin, amorphous polyester resin, a coloring agent, and a mold releasing agent; and higher alcohol represented by the following formula 1, wherein the base toner particles have a shape factor SF1 of≥128 and a 50% cumulative value of arithmetic mean height distribution of 0.05 to 0.15 micrometers. Also its manufacturing method, developer for electrostatic charge image development, image forming method, and image forming apparatus are provided.
