PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing medium with which an optical disk to be used for printing can be replaced, in a manufacturing or repairing step of a printer from a viewpoint of environmental consideration, and also to provide the printer making printing by using the printing medium, a control method of the printer, and a control program. SOLUTION: The printing medium 200 has a printing surface to be used for printing and is formed in the same shape as the optical disk 100, wherein the printing surfaces 202 are provided on both surfaces of a substrate 201 formed in the same shape as the optical disk 100.
