PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of smoothly feeding a medium from a medium storage part by reducing any mistaken feed of the medium attributable to the phenomenon that a pickup roller bites the medium with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A turn-supporting point O1 of a lever 23 for supporting a pickup roller 24 is deviated from a projecting range of printed surfaces of paper sheets stacked on a cassette and deviated in the paper sheet feeding direction (in the right direction of the figure) from the abutting position (the nip position) of the pickup roller 24 with respect to the paper sheet. Further, a separation part 27 having an inclined surface 27A for separating only one paper sheet at the highest position during the feed is projected at the fore end position on the paper sheet feeding direction side from a paper sheet stacking part on a first tray 21 of the cassette. The turn-supporting point of the lever 23 is positionally set so that the moving locus of the turn-supporting point of the pickup roller 24 when being abutted on the paper sheet P1 forms the arc-shaped locus corresponding to the inclined surface 27A.
