PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic image diagnostic apparatus, reducing the speed ripple of a stepping motor of a rocking mechanism to make a rocking speed (a machine scanning speed) constant. SOLUTION: This ultrasonic image diagnostic apparatus includes: an ultrasonic probe 2A having a one-dimensional array vibrator 5 capable of performing electronic scanning, a rocking mechanism 6 for rocking the array vibrator in the direction orthogonal to the electronic scanning direction to perform machine scanning, and the stepping motor 7 for driving the rocking mechanism; a memory 11 for saving correction data for correcting the driving current value of the stepping motor so that the stepping motor is driven constant at a predetermined preset speed; and a controller 10 for reading the correction data from the memory and giving the same to the stepping motor, thereby controlling the driving speed to a preset speed and drive the stepping motor at a constant speed.
