PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate washing operation by making it possible to provide traceability, reduce installation space and perform CIP washing with a small number of parts. SOLUTION: An apparatus is designed to install a helical screw flight in a cooling water channel forming a straight cylindrical state, rotate the screw flight about a shaft and cool each poultry carcass, while transporting the poultry carcass. The apparatus is equipped with an outlet housing 30 connected and installed on the downstream side in the transportation direction of the straight cylindrical water channel 10 and forming a tapered cross-sectional shape toward the downstream side in the transportation direction and a helical discharge screw flight 31 connected and installed on the downstream side in the transportation direction of the cooling screw flight 20 in the interior of the outlet housing 30, arranged in the direction to the oblique upper side toward the downstream end in the transportation direction and is provided with a casing 34 for covering at least the half on the lower side. The apparatus is composed so that the poultry carcass, transported to the downstream end of the cooling screw flight 20, is transported to the outside with the discharging screw flight 31.
