PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic transistor having a high mobility, a large current on/off ratio, and a superior storage stability. SOLUTION: In the organic transistor having an organic semiconductor layer, the organic semiconductor layer contains at least one kind of compound represented by formula (1). In the formula (1), X<SB>1</SB>-X<SB>4</SB>are each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a straight-chain, branched or annular alkyl group, a straight-chain, branched or annular alkoxy group, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group. A ring A is a substituted or unsubstituted naphthalene ring, and a ring B is a substituted or unsubstituted benzene ring, a substituted or unsubstituted thiophene ring, a substituted or unsubstituted benzo[b]thiophene ring, or a substituted or unsubstituted naphthalene ring.
