PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the state of seamless connection at a dubbing destination when a plurality of video data are dubbed in another recording medium. SOLUTION: When stream data is dubbed in another recording medium, a dubbing part is designated by a chapter unit. When a plurality of chapters are dubbed, whether the plurality of chapters are seamless connection is determined, and the management information of the seamless connection is generated in the dubbing destination. For each chapter to be dubbed, a reproduction section indicated by a corresponding play item and the positional information of a stream indicated by corresponding clip information are matched with a range indicated by the start or end point of the chapter. Based on whether the start point of a target chapter and the start point of the reproducing section match each other, continuity of the last play item and at the target chapter is determined. Based on whether the start point of the last chapter and the end point of the reproducing section match each other, seamless connection between the chapter immediately before and the target chapter is determined.
