PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress to the utmost generation of a situation wherein connection to a network becomes disabled caused by an updated firmware FW, concerning a network connection apparatus. SOLUTION: In the ON-state of a power source of the network connection apparatus 1-1, an operation FW temporary determination means 11 determines temporarily FW to be utilized for operation of own apparatus, and an FW confirmation updating means 12 transmits an FW confirmation request, including the version of the FW to an FW management device 2. If a version in the FW confirmation request is not the newest version, a control means 21 transmits FW of the newest version to the network connection apparatus 1-1. A connection diagnosis means 13 diagnoses, whether own apparatus can be connected to a network 3 by utilizing the FW transmitted from the FW management device 2. An operation starting means 14 starts operation of own apparatus, by utilizing the FW of the newest version when the diagnosis result shows success of connection, and starts operation of own apparatus by utilizing the FW determined temporarily, when the diagnosis result is a failure of connection.
