PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system, in which a prefetch server pre-reads a previous statement, capable of restraining increase of loads to a storage device even if multiple queries are generated to a DB server. SOLUTION: This prefetch server connected to the DB server to be operated by a DBMS and the storage device for storing the data of a DB maintains information required for determination of pre-reading effect, performs a determination process whether or not the pre-reading effect can be obtained at the time of issuing a pre-reading I/O, and issues the pre-reading I/O of which the pre-reading effect can be obtained in the determination process to the storage device.
