PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single structure screw type multiple stage compressor provided with a low stage compressor and a high stage compressor, and capable of effectively exerting economizer effect in the low stage compressor by keeping compression ratio of the low stage compressor high. SOLUTION: In the single screw type multiple stage compressor 5 having the low stage compressor 1 and the high stage compressor 3 comprising a pair of a male and a female screw rotor, and a motor 25 combined as one unit in series, a theoretical flow rate ratio of the low stage compressor 1 to the high stage compressor 3 is set to roughly 3.2 or higher, and low stage economizer ports 70 are provided at positions opposing to an axial direction end surfaces of the male and female rotors of a casing holding the male and the female rotor 7, 9 of the low stage compressor 1 to expand port opening area.
