PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve aseismatic performance of an existing building by utilizing an existing veranda without necessitating, in particular, a space for aseismatic reinforcement on a front side of the existing veranda and changing the appearance of the existing building greatly. SOLUTION: In this aseismatic reinforcing structure of the existing building A provided with the veranda 5 on each of a plurality of stories, a steel frame beam 9 along the direction of depth of the veranda is connected and fixed with/on a lower face of the upper side veranda 5a among a pair of verandas adjacent to each other in the vertical direction, a steel frame 10 along the vertical direction is connected and fixed with/on an upper face of the lower side veranda 5b by separating it from an outer peripheral part 4 of the building and leaving a space 11 allowing a person to move over the veranda part at front and rear positions across the steel frame, and the steel frame beam and the steel frame are mutually connected through a damper 12 for controlling vibration.
