PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cassette and an image forming device capable of changing a tray to be fed without replacement of the cassette. SOLUTION: The cassette 16 comprises a first tray 21 and a second tray 22 slidably provided above the first tray 21. A pinion 43 provided on a side part of the first tray 21 is engaged with a rack 42 formed below the second tray 22. When the cassette 16 is attached to a printer, the pinion 43 is engaged with a driving gear 47 on the printer side. The pinion 43 is provided displaceably in the cassette inserting/drawing direction, and urged in the cassette inserting direction by a compression coil spring 45. When the second tray 22 is at the evacuation position shown in the figure (a), paper sheets on the first tray 21 are fed; and when the second tray 22 is at the paper feed position shown in the figure (b), the paper sheets on the second tray 22 are fed.
