PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase contrast without causing a light leakage phenomenon between sub-pixels in a liquid crystal display panel using design improvement of upper and lower transparent electrode structure. SOLUTION: The image display system includes the liquid crystal display panel having a plurality of sub-pixels installed between two data lines extending along a vertical direction and two scan lines extending along a horizontal direction. The liquid crystal display panel has an array substrate having the data lines and scan lines thereon, a lower transparent electrode installed above the data lines, and an upper transparent electrode installed above the lower transparent electrode. The upper transparent electrode has an extended portion at a corner of the sub-pixel, extending along the horizontal direction to overlap at least a portion of the data line.
