PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional root vegetable harvester wherein the foliages of carrots in a frostbitten state can not resist to the nipping and pulling forces of a nipping and carrying belt and are torn off to leave the carrots there, whereby the carrots left in the field without being mechanically harvested are manually harvested by workers and therefore require many labors for the pullout work in a field treaded down with the travel machine. SOLUTION: The root vegetable harvester in which a pullout conveyer 3 for pulling out crops planted in a field and then carrying the crops is disposed on one of the right and left sides of the travel vehicle body 2 having the right and left travel devices 1L, 1R are disposed is equipped with a crop digging-out device 4 behind the pulling action portion of the pullout conveyer 3.
