摘要 #CMT# #/CMT# The device for applying an aqueous pigment suspension onto a side of the web of a running paper-, cardboard- or other fibrous material web (1), comprises a curtain coater (3) arranged above the fibrous material web for the delivery of a free-falling application medium curtain (4) on a web side and/or a coating side (1b) of the running fibrous material web, which moves itself by the force of gravity, and a collecting device arranged below the web side for collecting side edges of the curtain delivered outside of the width of the fibrous material web. #CMT# : #/CMT# The device for applying an aqueous pigment suspension onto a side of the web of a running paper-, cardboard- or other fibrous material web (1), comprises a curtain coater (3) arranged above the fibrous material web for the delivery of a free-falling application medium curtain (4) on a web side and/or a coating side (1b) of the running fibrous material web, which moves itself by the force of gravity, and a collecting device arranged below the web side for collecting side edges of the curtain delivered outside of the width of the fibrous material web during the operating phase and/or operating position of the curtain coater. The curtain hits in an impact line (5) and in a desired application width of the coating side. The fibrous material web is viewed in the running direction before the impact line is intended to an air boundary layer removal means (7) for air boundary layers (8) flowing with the fibrous material web. The removal means influences on the web side, which faces the coating side. The air boundary layer removal means is arranged only within the region of web edges of the web side and causes only on the concerned web edge. The air boundary layer removal means simultaneously influences on both web edge regions, which are on the edge region of the guide side and the edge region of the drive side of the device. The air boundary layer removal means is formed as a stripping blade. The turned end of the stripping blade is flexibly formed to the web side and/or the web lower side and has a wear-protection layer. The stripping blade is arranged, so that a wedge moves itself in the web running direction. The air boundary layers entrained with the fibrous material web strike on the wedge and the stripping blade is placed on the wedge in an incident angle (alpha ) of 60-80[deg] against the fibrous material web. The stripping blade retractably and tiltably and/or swingably and turnably and/or height-adjustably is formed to the fibrous material web towards and away from the path for an operating position or a service position. The stripping blade is automatically movable and/or adjustable. The stripping blade has an adjustable distance (a) of 0-3 mm between its upper end and the fibrous material web. The stripping blade is arranged at the collecting device and at a carrier present laterally next to the web edge regions.
