A device and a method for reducing road noise by frequency compensation are provided to remove the road noise by measuring the road noise at a high speed and transmitting compensating sound against the noise. A device for reducing road noise includes a high performance microphone(110) for collecting road noise, an analogue-digital converter(120) for converting analogue noise signals sensed by the microphone to digital signals, a signal processing and controlling part(130) for extracting the digital noise signals and generating compensating signals therefore, a digital-analogue converter(140) for converting the generated digital compensating signals to analogue signals, an amplifier(150) for amplifying the compensating signals according to a control signal and a speaker(160) for converting the amplified analogue signals to sound waves to transmit the same to roads.
