PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separate type projector which can connect a cable for inputting input image information near an area of an image supply device. SOLUTION: This separate type projector is used to project an image on a screen 30 on the basis of an inputted image signal. The separate type projector is separated into an input side unit 10 of the side of inputting an image signal and a projection side unit 20 of the side of projecting the image. The input side unit 10 is provided with an input terminal 10a for connecting the image supply device 2 with a cable 10b, and a transmission circuit 15 for transmitting the image signal inputted from the image supply device 2 by radio to the projection side unit 20. The projection side unit 20 is provided with a reception circuit 21 for receiving the image signal transmitted by radio from the input side unit 10, an optical system apparatus for projecting the received image, and a driving circuit for driving the optical system apparatus.
