PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical power generation device by efficiently converting energy of fluid into rotational energy. SOLUTION: The power generation device includes a casing 21 having an intake port and a discharge port for the fluid, a rotatable rotor 22 eccentrically disposed in the casing 21, and vanes 23a to 23f movable into and out of the rotor 22. The rotor 22 has a recess 24 near its center. The casing 21 has a protrusion part 25 formed by protruding a part of an upper face of an inner wall of the casing 21 inwardly. The protrusion part 25 has such a shape as to be received in the recess 24. The protrusion part 25 restricts a retracting amount of each of the vanes 23a to 23f into the rotor 22 so as to locate the vanes 23a to 23f so that the tip ends thereof always make contact with the inner wall of the casing 21, thereby separating the intake port side and the discharge port side from each other. The vanes 23a to 23f receive pressure difference of the fluid between the intake port side and the discharge port side so as to turn the rotor 22. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
