PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agitation apparatus demonstrating a preferable agitation performance and actualizing reduction in a mixing time. SOLUTION: The agitation apparatus is equipped with a bottomed cylindrical agitation tank, a rotary shaft concentrically or roughly concentrically disposed in the agitation tank, and flat bottom blades continuously provided to the rotary shaft to be extended radially and vertically in the tank, with a lower edges curved along a tank bottom wall face, wherein openings are formed for communicating one face side with the other face side for the bottom blades, a ratio of the blade height h of the bottom blade to the diameter d of the blades, h/d, is set to 0.4≤h/d, and a ratio of the opening area of the opening to a projected area viewed from the rotation direction of the bottom blade is set to 10-60%.
