SURFACE LIGHT SOURCE AND BACKLIGHT UNIT HAVING THE SAME

A surface light source and a backlight unit are provided to reduce the light loss of the backlight unit and improve the uniformity of the brightness. A surface light source comprises a light source body(310), a 3D shape structure(300), and an electrode part. The light source has one or more plane boards(210). A plurality of 3D structure are formed on the light source body. The light source body has a discharge space in its inside. The electrode part applies voltage to the discharge space.
