摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a fuel cell catalyst layer in which proton conductive performance can be improved, and to provide a fuel cell with the fuel cell catalyst layer that is manufactured by the manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the fuel cell catalyst layer includes: a maximum value derivation step in which a relationship between a mass ratio P of an electrolyte resin and a carrier with an electrochemical surface area of a catalyst metal is examined, and the maximum value X of the electrochemical surface area is derived; a first ink fabricating step in which a first ink state material is fabricated by mixing a catalyst metal carrying carrier in which the catalyst metal is carried by the carrier with the electrolyte resin so that the mass ratio P is obtained in which the electrochemical surface area becomes 0.8X or more and X or less after the maximum value derivation step; a second ink fabricating step in which the second ink state material is fabricated by mixing the first ink state material fabricated by the first ink fabricating step with the electrolyte resin; and a coating step in which the catalyst ink fabricated by using the second ink state material fabricated by the second ink fabricating step is coated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
