<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus capable of safely processing broadcast content data of at least one system even when a copyright protection device of a master mode breaks down. <P>SOLUTION: The copyright protection device 112 of the master mode has a function of initializing an IC card 114, decrypts broadcast content data received by a tuner 110 by using information stored in the IC card 114, encrypts the decrypted broadcast content data again, and then outputs it onto a bus 108. Functions relating to initialization of the IC card 114 are restricted in a copyright protection device 113 in a slave mode. When the copyright protection device 112 in the master mode gets faulty, the operation mode of the copyright protection device 13 is changed from the slave mode to the master mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
