<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor control method and a motor controller, which reduces switching loss of an invertor by lowering a carrier frequency even if harmonic current is contained in motor current. <P>SOLUTION: In the motor control method, a PWM pulse is generated based on a current command value of a motor and a switching frequency of the invertor, and the invertor which drives the motor at variable speed is controlled by the generated PWM pulse. The switching frequency is increased in accordance with an increase of a change amount of at least one command value among the current command value, a torque command value, a voltage command value, a speed command value and a position command value of the motor.
