<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the phase of supply voltage before start of a converter circuit, based on the DC current of the converter circuit, and besides improve the accuracy of supply voltage phase detection. <P>SOLUTION: This converter control means 20 for power converter is equipped with a supply voltage phase detecting means which detects a supply voltage phase. This voltage phase detecting means detects the DC output current of the converter circuit by turning on the switching elements of each phase of an under arm in order at a frequency higher than an AC power frequency before start of the converter circuit 1, detects a zero-current phase range where the DC output current becomes zero, and detects the supply voltage phase based on the detected zero-current phase range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
