PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce entire manufacturing costs of a plurality of types of image processing devices in each of which an image reading apparatus is mounted. SOLUTION: As components constituting an image reading apparatus 100 of the present invention, there are a common component to be utilized in common between copiers of types different from each other and individual components to be individually utilized, respectively, between copiers of types different from each other. An enclosure of the image reading apparatus is divided into a main enclosure and a sub enclosure, only the common component is packaged in the main enclosure and all the individual components are packaged within the sub enclosure.
