PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor cooling apparatus capable of easily ensuring a channel for cooling liquid. SOLUTION: This motor cooling apparatus is constituted by: winding a channel forming member spirally shaped along the axial direction of a rotating shaft outside the side surface of a housing to be fixed to; being provided with a cooling jacket for covering the side surface of the housing from the outside while being intervened by the channel forming member; forming a spiral channel for the cooling liquid between the cooling jacket and the housing with the channel forming member; and mounting a cooling liquid entrance on one end of the spiral channel and a cooling liquid outlet on the other end of the spiral channel.
