PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix a lens in a lens holding frame at high accuracy by preventing the lens from inclining or floating, and to prevent damage or break of a lens and to improve quality. SOLUTION: The lens fixing apparatus 1 inserts a lens L in the lens holding part 11 of the lens holding frame 10 and caulks the peripheral edge 11a of the lens holding part 11, thereby fixing the lens L in the lens holding frame 10. The lens fixing apparatus includes: a rotating support shaft 2 disposed so that the lens holding frame 10 can be fixed having the center axis O of the lens holding frame 10 to serve as the rotation center; a plurality of caulking tools 4 having evenly spaced pressing rotation shafts 43 along the circumference of the peripheral edge 11a of the lens holding part 11, and movable along the center axes Oa of the pressing rotation shafts 43, thereby pressing the peripheral edge 11a; a feed mechanism 5 for moving the caulking tools 4 along the corresponding center axes Oa; and a control device 7 that controls the feed mechanism 5.
