PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator-rotor assembly. SOLUTION: The stator-rotor assembly 21 includes at least one boundary region 92 between a stator 18 and a rotor 22. At least one stator or rotor surface in the boundary region includes a pattern of inverted turbulators 99, 101, 108. The inverted turbulators restrict the gas flow passing through the gap between the stator and the rotor. The description contains also various turbo machines which can include the stator-rotor assembly 21 as described.
