PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EGR cooler capable of preventing the boiling of cooling water cooling a tube by eliminating stagnation at an exhaust gas inlet side where an exhaust gas temperature is high. SOLUTION: The EGR cooler 10 is provided with a case 11 having a part provided with at least a flow-in port 21 of cooling water formed in a roughly cylindrical shape projection, a plurality of flat tubes 12 stored in the case 11 and juxtaposed at predetermined intervals, and a plate 30 arranged between outside surfaces of tubes 12A, 12B arranged at both sides in a juxtaposed direction and the inner surface of the projection 18 opposing the surface. Cooling water from the flow-in port 21 is made to flow into the case 11 from directions different from the juxtaposed direction of the plurality of tubes 12, in concrete, from a direction crossing both the juxtaposed direction and the flow direction of exhaust gas in the tubes 12 at a right angle.
