PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the packing main body of an egg handling device which can prevent the mutual clash of adjoining eggs in receiving on the egg storage seats of a transfer device a predetermined number of eggs discharged from a single line conveyer. SOLUTION: The relation between the pitch P1 of holding members 11-15 holding eggs E on a distribution conveyer 10 (single line conveyer) and the pitch P2 of egg storage seats 21-25 provided on a transfer device 20 is P1<P2. It is so structured that a predetermined number of eggs E1-E5 (e.g. 5 eggs) transferred by the conveyer 10 are discharged from the upstream egg E5 to the remaining directly downstream eggs E one after another each delayed in a predetermined time while the conveyer 10 is driven at a predetermined transfer speed.
