PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid coating device capable of sufficiently suppressing dispersion of thickness in a width direction of a liquid-coating film. SOLUTION: The liquid coating device is provided with a guide roll 6 guiding a sheet to be coated S and a slit die 20 having a slit 23 with an opening 24 extending in an axis direction of the guide roll 6 and applying a liquid to the surface of the sheet to be coated S guided by the guide roll 6. The slit die 20 possesses a front lip part 27 with a concave surface corresponding to the guide roll 6 at the back of the opening 24 in a rotating direction RD of the guide roll 6, and the length FA of the part of the front lip part 27 facing the guide roll 6 in the rotational direction RD of the guide roll 6 is so set that a center angleθwith the axis O of the guide roll 6 at the center is 0.95-3.0°.
