A neutron radiography process using a neutron producing apparatus in which fusion grade collision reactions occur in a plasma-gas mixture zone within the reaction chamber so that the origin of the neutron and associated x-ray emission is not from a localized spot on a solid target can be advantageous if the star or spoke plasma-gas structure mode of operation is utilized to establish a low aspect ratio planar radial spoke geometry, or any similar planar reactor configuration composed of an array of said neutron emitting plasma-gas structures, such that the perpendicular to the plane view is of a fixed distributed topology of stable or predictable neutron emission zones which thereby avoids a loss of output when the apparatus is used as part of a system for fast neutron radiography using transmission image deconvolution processing of the neutron source pattern to obtain resolution of the imaged object.
|
