A record/playback apparatus, a data production method and a servo control method using the same are provided to achieve efficient servo control and optimum optical system in a record/playback apparatus using the holography technology. A record/playback apparatus comprises an optical path adjusting unit(230) which adjusts the path of the light emitted from a light source(210) and irradiates to the specific position of a recording medium, a reflection unit(310) reflecting the light passing through the recording medium to the specific position of the recording medium and generating optical signal for data reproduction, a light receiving unit(320) receiving the light which is irradiated to the recording medium and diffracted and generating signal corresponding to the quantity of the received light, and a controller outputting control signal to a servo driver according to the signal generated in the light receiving unit.
