<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus achieving shortening of print time, suppression of developer consumption and decrease of noise. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus capable of forming a color image on an image carrier by using the developer of a plurality of different developing colors is equipped with a plurality of developing devices, in each of which the developer of the different color is stored, and a control part which controls actuation of the developing device based on input image data. The control part includes a concentration rate recognition part for recognizing the concentration rate of each color from the image data for the image data of every sheet, and performs control so as not to use at least the developer of one color out of the developer in accordance with the concentration rate of each color recognized by the concentration rate recognition part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
