<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of more surely coping with a situation that a belt skews, and a program. <P>SOLUTION: When detecting a transfer state change factor (S301), the judgement part of a control part predicts a belt skewing state (S302). According to the predicted displacement, the judgement part instructs respective laser exposure devices of an image forming unit to change a writing start position where writing on a photoreceptor drum is started (S303). The judgement part judges whether or not the belt skewing becomes stable (S304). When judging that the belt skewing does not become stable yet, the judgement part returns operation to S302. When judging that the belt skewing becomes stable, the judgement part forms a skewing variation profile (S305), and updates the skewing variation profile (S306).
