<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device having an inexpensive inflator fixing structure capable of effectively preventing come-off in the axial direction. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag device comprises a substantially columnar inflator 1 for feeding gas to an airbag, and a cylindrical housing 6 for fixing the inflator 1. A peripherally annular recessed groove 4 is formed in an outer peripheral surface of the inflator 1, and at least one plastically deformable fixed section 11 is provided on the housing 6, and a fitting section 9 to be fitted to the recessed groove 4 opposing the fixed part is provided on an inner surface of the housing 6. The inflator 1 is pressed against and fixed to the housing 6 by assembling the inflator 1 in the housing 6, and plastically deforming the fixed part 11 while the fitting part 9 is fitted to the recessed groove 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
