<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of polishing a color filter preventing the nonuniform polishing which occurs on the color filter at specified pitches in a color filter conveying direction, when the projections of the color filter having a glass substrate on which resin black matrixes and colored pixels are formed in order, and having the projections at the ends of the resin black matrixes, are polished and removed. <P>SOLUTION: This polishing device for manufacturing a color filter 30 for a liquid crystal display comprises: a stage and a loader on its conveyor line, a polishing fluid supply part, a polishing part, a washing and drying part, and an unloader which are disposed on the conveyor line of the stage. A plurality of rectangular polishing heads 12 are disposed on the polishing part in the substrate conveying direction. The rectangular polishing heads are brought into contact with the surface of the color filter, and rotated parallel to the surface of a substrate for flattening the surface of the color filter. The rectangular polishing heads are separated from each other by the displaced amounts for displacing the positions at which the polishing of the polishing heads is started. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
