COMPOSITION FOR ANISOTROPIC OPTICAL FILM, ANISOTROPIC OPTICAL FILM AND OPTICAL ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for an anisotropic optical film, by which the number of micro defects of the anisotropic optical film containing a lyotropic liquid crystal compound can be reduced.

SOLUTION: The composition for the anisotropic optical film contains the lyotropic liquid crystal compound, inorganic salt and/or organic salt having ≥15 HLB value. It is preferable that the composition for the anisotropic optical film further contains a water-based solvent and the weight ratio of the inorganic and organic salts to the lyotropic liquid crystal compound is 0.02-1.
