摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of quickly achieving compression coding without repeating coding processing to a target value of a certain capacitance. <P>SOLUTION: The image processor comprises: a JPEG 2000 coding first-half processing section 1 for generating compressed/coded data by performing compression coding of image data; a memory 7 for storing the compressed/coded data; a coding amount calculation section 8 for calculating the total coding amount including the coding amount of the compressed/coded data and the coding amount of control information accompanying the compressed/coded data based on a coding parameter, for comparing the total coding amount with the target value, and for outputting a reference value (the number of effective coding paths) to make the total coding amount not more than the target value; and a code formation section 10 for reading the compressed/coded data equivalent to the number of effective coding paths from the memory 7, and for forming output data including the read compressed/coded data and the control information accompanying the compressed/coded data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p>
